SpellBound MED is a suite of tools for therapeutic use with pediatric patients that takes distraction, engagement and education to a whole different level.
SpellBound MED is licensed to hospitals and is not intended for personal use.
SpellBound MED tools are delivered via mobile app for use by child life specialists with their patients.
We currently offer two tools:
(1) SpellBound Books turns paper books into amazing 3D adventures. Hold a smartphone or tablet to the pages like a camera and see characters and scenery leap from the pages in 3D, hear music and narration, and interact directly with the story. Therapists and caregivers are able to support the goals of distraction and escape for a pediatric patient while increasing knowledge through book engagement.
(2) Quick Distract cards turns a postcard into a mini, magical jungle. Mesmerize kids with 3D animals, sounds, and music. Children can interact with the animals and distract from painful or scary moments during quick procedures.
SpellBound MED provides an opportunity to normalize the patient experience and create a moment of joy for the patient and family.
